Students at Decker Lake Youth Center got down and dirty yesterday…planting the milkweed seeds in the greenhouse! This was the second session in the Monarch Butterfly Conservation Project sponsored through USBE and the University of Utah’s STEMCAP initiative. Since the monarch butterfly relies on milkweed for sustenance for the developmental stages, the replenishing of milkweed is a critical step in the conservation efforts.
