Biographical Info

Travis Morrison is a graduate student at the University of Utah in the Department of Mechanical Engineering studying the small-scale atmospheric flows to improve weather and climate forecasting tools. In 2018 Travis received an Outstanding Student Presentation Award at the 2018 American Geophysical Union Fall meeting and since then made sharing his science with the community a priority. In the winter of 2020, Travis joined the Spring STEM Ambassador Program (STEMAP) to learn the tools to bring outreach to under-represented groups in the community. He believes that while publications and producing sound scientific research is a must, the real impact scientists make is when they bring their science to the community.
