Emily provided a background of the immune system and HIV-1 biology so that students understood her research on antiproliferative therapeutics to target the latent HIV-1 reservoir.
Emily is a translational Ph.D. Microbiologist and Immunologist that studies therapeutic approaches for eradicating the latent HIV reservoir. She is passionate about community engagement and clinical translational research that positively impacts patient care and health equity. She loves being outside climbing, hiking, and doing yoga and dance.
