Biographical Info

Christopher Sandford obtained his master’s degree in chemistry from the University of Oxford in 2013 and his Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry from the University of Bristol in 2017. Since then, he has been a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Sigman Laboratory at the Department of Chemistry, University of Utah. Chris’ research interests encompass the broad field of mechanistic organic chemistry, and his current projects utilize electrochemical techniques to understand the interactions and applications of metal complexes in breaking and forging chemical bonds. Outside of the lab, Chris enjoys running, reading, and playing classical music.
