Biographical Info

Autumn Amici received her PhD from the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Utah
in 2019. Her research included projects exploring the impacts of habitat fragmentation and
isolation on tropical epiphytes and the potential for tropical forest conservation and visitor
education at adventure parks in Costa Rica. She received her M.Sc. in Botany from the
University of Hawaii Manoa’s Department of Botany where she studied the impacts of logging
on tree diversity in the Village of Siboma on the coast of Papua New Guinea. Prior to her study
at UH Manoa, she received dual B.Sc. degrees in Wildlife Biology and Natural Resources from
the University of Vermont. She is currently a 7th-grade science teacher at Strive Prep Schools in
Denver, Colorado.
