Biographical Info

Amanda Barrios is a native from Guatemala. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish Translation/Interpretation. She also has the National Certification for Healthcare Interpreters, CHI™. She is currently the Program Manager for the Office of Translation and Interpretation for Clinical Research. She also works as a conference interpreter, one of her passions,  with different entities. She speaks Spanish, English, and French, and she loves learning new languages. When she is not working or volunteering, she loves working in her garden planting flowers, or working outside, and just enjoying nature. She loves traveling whenever she gets a chance to do so. She believes that we all have unique talents that we can use to help others become their best. She also believes we can use our difficulties to learn and come out stronger from them.

Amanda Barrios is the Program Manager at the Office of Translation and Interpretation for Clinical Research at the University of Utah. She gave a presentation about the power of language and pursuing your passion at all costs.
