STEMCAP disseminates program processes and results to a variety of national conferences and publications. Using program evaluation methods approved by the Institutional Review Board, the STEMCAP team formally evaluates the outcomes of each workshop and presentation. These evaluative methods aim to determine the effectiveness of the programming in imparting scientific knowledge, inspiring youth to engage with science, shifting students’ self-identities toward science capable learners, providing teachers with increased resources, and shifting presenters’ perception of Youth-In-Custody. Recently, STEMCAP has also gotten media attention, disseminating our work to the university and the community at large.
